The Best of Utah.

On our way from Boise to Moab Colin and I made what was supposed to be a dinner stop in Salt Lake City. Three hours & three vines later, we left. When we arrived in the city we made a beeline toward the Salt Lake Temple, where we learned the term "Jack Mormon" from a passerby.
Jack Mormon  - A person who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but seldom or never practices their religion. Unlike ex-Mormons or anti-Mormons, Jack Mormons usually support the goals and beliefs of the church and maintain friendships with practicing Mormons, but for reasons of their own choose not to attend church services and activities. Jack Mormons may also indulge in activities discouraged by the church, such as drinking alcohol, smoking, and premarital sex. (via urban dictionary)
We found ourselves asking everyone if they were Mormon, not in a rude way but because we had a lot of questions.  We knew that only Mormons could enter the temple, so we were thrilled to find a video tour of the innards next to a dollhouse-sized Temple*  complete with miniature furnishings inside the visitor's center.
With such protection over who could enter the Temple, Colin wondered how they know who is Mormon. Do they carry a card or something?  Thankfully, we were not afraid to ask...
*I was disappointed that no Mormon Barbies we're worshiping in the Dollhouse Temple at the time...

Arches National Park in Moab, Utah is one of the most-beautiful places I have ever seen.  I begged Colin to reroute our adventure to hit up this national park.  I has remained one of my favorite stops on the entire trip.  If you missed it, here's the photoshoot we did there.
