You light up my life. You give me hope to carry on.*

I am overwhelmed by the generosity of all who have supported me in the prelude to Rediscovering America.  Your support has come in so many forms: giving gifts of time and wisdom, sharing my campaign and blog posts on social media, clicking on my blog for a daily read, attending my Clothes + Cocktails party and, of course, backing me financially on Indiegogo.  In the last 24 hours of my indiegogo campaign, which ended at midnight last night, the amount raised jumped almost a thousand dollars! By 10 minutes from the end I was on the floor hyperventilating and speaking gibberish to myself as I watched the total go up another $275, just ask my roommate...to watch the video she was secretly filming.  In this state of shock and astonishment, I started a final countdown on Facebook, liking my own comment every time I gave an update. Yes, I realize, very socially unacceptable...but you have to understand...It's not everyday that dreams start coming true.

So thank you.
Thank you for believing in me & helping to send me on this adventure.
There is MUCH more to come.

*These are the lyrics to the #1 single of the 1970s "You Light up My Life" by Debbie Boone.  The words popped into my head during my light experiment, so I decided to listen to that old song once more.  It was such an assault to my system that I had to turn it off before it was over.  Oh, how tastes change.  Sorry to anyone who helped make this the most-popular song of the 1970s.  I'll let you put down some of my music sometime.
